The last planned Extension Meeting of the season will be Tuesday, March 26th at 6pm at the Ben Hill County Extension Office 321 Dewey McGlamry Road Fitzgerald. Dr. Lisa Baxter UGA Forage Specialist will be speaking on Grazing and Hay Management and fertility.
Paraquat Training Guidelines:
The paraquat training that is required every 3 years for applicators now costs $25 to complete.
To counter this, Syngenta is hosting webinars for applicators to attend and receive credit without a required payment. Here are the options:
- Individuals can register for one or more of the zoom sessions (they only have to attend one). Only one registrant will receive credit. If you register, and multiple people watch the webinar, only the one registered will receive credit! The others who watched will not! Therefore, they will have to individually register and attend virtually or attend an agent led webinar meeting.

- Attend an agent led group meeting. I will host a group meeting on March 27 from 2:00 to 3:30 at the Irwin County Extension office. This will be the only meeting I will be able to hold.
- In the event that you cannot make any webinars then you can take the training online at the cost of $25.
There is a simple 10 question quiz following the training.
• Individuals watching on their own will do the on-line quiz
• Groups watching together will go through question and review with Dr. Clewis on-line
