For many years Georgia 4-H Project SAFE members have become National 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors after attending a National 4-H Shooting Sports Teen Leadership Institute. Institutes happen in early August, and Arkansas will host the 2024 institute on August 6-10 at The Vines 4-H Center in Little Rock, AR.
Project SAFE youth in any discipline who were 15 years old on January 1, 2024, are eligible to apply. This is a wonderful leadership development opportunity for shooting sports youth.
Completed applications with all materials are due on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Electronic application materials are preferred. The attached application is a fillable PDF.
An application review committee will recommend candidates by ranking. Youth applying do not need to request a reference letter from the state SAFE shooting sports coordinator. He will write those letters for the youth they submit to the national selection committee after our state committee ranks applicants.
