The State Board of Directors did an excellent job laying the groundwork to make this a very memorable event. They chose a holiday-inspired theme for this year’s event, with the slogan “Georgia 4-H Holiday Vacation!

Additional Opportunities

Exhibitors

Fall Forum participants have the opportunity to showcase an exhibit focusing on his or her DPA project area. The exhibit can be on a tri-fold board and can highlight any topic of choice based 4-H’er interest. Awards will be given to the top exhibits!

The first 100 participants to register to bring an exhibit will be selected.  To register as an exhibitor, please select “Exhibitor” in the event registration.

Teen Leaders

Teen Leaders: We are seeking certified teen leaders to serve in various leadership roles, such as workshop instructors, community service leaders, or recreation leaders. Not only are they key to helping make Fall Forum a success, but they are also an excellent portfolio opportunity for high school-aged 4-H’ers!  Teen leaders must commit to the entire weekend. There are no exceptions to this. Selected teens must be certified teen leaders. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, teen leaders may only apply for one teen leader opportunity. Additionally, with scheduling conflicting with rehearsals, Clovers & Co. members cannot apply.

  • Teach Your Own Workshop Leader: Fall Forum workshops provide the unique opportunity for 4-H’ers to apply to teach their own class.  Our goal is for all workshops at Fall Forum to be teen instructor-led, with 4-H’ers teaching their peers more about a topic of their expertise or interests.  The more instructor applications we receive, the more options we have for various workshops!  Please encourage 4-H’ers to apply for this excellent opportunity for peer teaching.  Selected leaders are responsible for supplying all materials needed for their workshops.
  • Teach a Prepared Workshop Leader: The State 4-H Board of Directors has identified key topics that they feel are important for high school 4-H’ers to be knowledgeable of.  Therefore, we have created a separate workshop leader opportunity for teens to apply to teach one of these important lessons developed by our Extension Specialists. Unlike our “Teach Your Own” option, all materials needed for selected leaders will be provided onsite at the event.
  • Service Leader: We pledge our hands to larger service!  4-H’ers are encouraged to lead a community service activity for participants during the Exhibit and Service Fair.  Projects should be easy to do in a short time frame and provide something for a group in need.  Examples are letters to military families or 4-H donors, decorations for a senior center, caps for cancer patients, etc. Selected service leaders must supply materials; however, they may submit receipts for reimbursement of supplies up to $25.00.  Service leaders will be responsible for collecting items created and delivering them to the identified group.
  • Recreation Leader: To increase heathy living initiatives at our statewide conferences, we have added the option of a recreation leader for Fall Forum. These leaders will be responsible for keeping participants actively engaged through leading recreation, ice breakers, games, etc. throughout the weekend. While they will be provided options and supplies onsite, they are also encouraged to create/use their own energizers, too.
