Vegetable Gardens

The vegetable garden area was designed to show various types of raised beds, using treated lumber, stacking stones, metal, cedar, etc., and signage will be made showing the costs and durability of each type of raised bed to show the community various options. In addition, various types of vegetables are grown to demonstrate shade gardening, companion plantings, soil amendments, and trellising methods. Included in the plan will be row crops and areas for 4-H students to grow watermelons and pumpkins, and special projects.
