Private Applicators License and Credits (need 3 hrs/5 yrs)

Most agriculture producers have a private applicators license and some have a commercial pesticide license.  To maintain the private license you have to earn 3 credit hrs within 5 years “Currently three hours of recertification credits must be earned no later than 90 days before your license expires.” The number of commercial recertification credits required depends on the category in which the applicator is certified (Category 21 – Agriculture Plant, requires 10 hrs credit every 5 years). For more information on private and commercial license click HERE.

Below are Cook County Extension Ag Production Meetings planned starting in January 2020.  You can get 1 hr private or commercial credit per meeting by attending (be sure to sign the sign in sheet).  We’ll send out reminder cards, and texts closer to the meeting dates to RSVP.  Similar meetings will be in counties surrounding Cook if you can’t make any of these.
