Downy mildew has been confirmed from Cook Co. on watermelon today. The conditions for disease development are currently favorable. Please see the attached pictures of disease symptoms and pathogen signs.
Please see the fungicide recommendations below.
Watermelon: Rotation (foliar application) with Orondis Ultra (0 d PHI);
Elumin (2 d PHI)
Ranman (0 d PHI);
Please be mindful on the post harvest intervals for recommended fungicide. “
