The December through February period that just ended shows a precipitation pattern expected from a weak to moderate La Nina, with drier than usual conditions in the southern part of the region. Temperatures across the region were warmer than normal, which may be more of a reflection of the trend towards warmer temperatures overall than the impacts of La Nina.
