The latest 7-day QPF map shows that the wettest conditions are likely to occur in middle Alabama and Georgia and the driest conditions in the Florida Peninsula and in North Carolina and Virginia. Most of the rain will occur over the next three days and it will be followed by nearly dry conditions for the remainder of the week. Week 2 looks like it will continue to be dry and warmer than normal, which should lead to a lot of activity in the fields as planting goes into high gear as the soil warms up.
