While this weekend is relatively dry, a rain-producing system will move into the region starting on Tuesday in Alabama and progressing eastward during the week. The wettest day in most of the region will be Wednesday, but eastern parts of the region will see lingering effects on Thursday too. Southern Florida will be missed by the system and will remain dry. Temperatures will remain relatively warm and should continue so until later in January.
