Wet conditions are expected to continue to drop a lot of rain on the southern half of the region this week starting this weekend. Rain is already covering a lot of Florida and will provide rain to coastal areas along the Gulf Coast as well as the East Coast in the coming days. The northern part of the region will miss the heaviest rain but should experience some showers, although eastern Virginia is expected to get less than a quarter inch so the showers there will be light and spotty. Showers will occur over most of the week but will be heaviest in the next few days.
