A welcome and fairly rare summer cold front will be moving through the Southeast this week. As it passes, it will bring rain to most of the region, then cooler temperatures and drier air once the front passes. The front will pass through Alabama and Georgia by mid-week and then stall out near the coast, bringing heavy rain to the coastal areas and northern Florida.
