The latest 7-day QPF map shows that rain amounts this week should be relatively light as we are in southerly flow with winds off the Gulf of Mexico. There is a chance of showers almost every day but they should be scattered and will not bring large amounts of rain. Severe weather is not expected to be a big concern. Temperatures should rise into the 80s early in the week, which will be great for the accumulation of growing degree days. This pattern should continue into week 2 before cooler conditions return at the end of the month.
