Have you ever planned an event or meeting and then worried about the impact of weather on whether or not you might have to cancel it? I’ve had to cancel workshops at the last minute due to ice storms in the past, and it is always tough to make the call in enough time to let participants know.
To help with this, the National Weather Service has just released a new experimental product that will provide winter weather warnings 4-7 days ahead. You can see the current maps at https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/wwd/pwpf_d47/pwpf_medr.php?day=4 with a screen shot of today’s map below.
