There are many places to find weather data, including many sources I have previously mentioned in this blog, including NOAA, CoCoRaHS, USGS, GeorgiaWeather.net, the Florida FAWN network, and others. Here is a source I just learned about which combines many of those datasets together in one place. This is a freely available, interactive and searchable database which uses a map to help you identify sources of different kinds of water-related data from CUAHSI (the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc.).
This database collects data from a number of different sources and consolidates it into one place. It allows you to search and pick from the different datasets and download data as needed. I have just played around a little bit so far, but it looks like it could be a useful source of data if you don’t know where to look for it (of course, you could always contact me too, but this one had a few even I did not know about). To look for data, go to https://data.cuahsi.org. There is a Quick Start button on the top of the page.
The database does not include the GeorgiaWeather.com data, since only a limited amount of that is available to the public due to their funding model. I have not checked to see if the FAWN or CRONOS datasets are on this site.
