The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the region can expect a lot more rain this week. This is a good thing for farmers whose crops need moisture this week. Rain should start on Sunday and there are likely to be several rain events over the next few days. The driest areas will be Virginia and central Florida. Some areas of northern Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee can expect to pick up several inches of rain, which will make it hard to get equipment into the field later in the week, so if you need to get field work done, make sure you pay attention to when rain is likely to occur.
