Yahoo News provided a fascinating look at the ocean floor in an animation that shows the ocean slowly draining. As the water levels get lower, you can see the land bridges that allowed animals and people to move between continents. As it gets lower, you can see the mid-ocean ridges and other high and low areas of the ocean floor. You can view the video here.
