Farmers are getting anxious to get into the fields after a week with rain across the area.  In southwest Alabama the rain has exceeded ten inches in some places.  Here in Athens I received over 4.5 inches in the last week.  Unfortunately, it looks like rain will continue through the weekend and into the early part of next week.  The NWS in Peachtree City also notes the chance of at least three waves of severe weather which will occur through the area through Monday, so be careful and keep tuned to your warning app or the NWS for updates on severe conditions.

Our best chance of dry conditions this week is Tuesday through Thursday, when no rain is forecast for most of the region.
