The latest 7 day QPF map shows that the Southeast is getting and should continue to get quite a bit of rain in the next week. Some areas may get almost 4 inches! Southern Florida will get far less, but since this is their dry season, that is not unexpected.
This is likely to cause further reductions in the drought, just what we need to prepare for the next growing season. I am in Seattle this week attending the annual meeting of the American Meteorological Society, and we’re going to get far less here (happily for me!).
