We will start the next seven days mostly dry as we are under the influence of a big area of high pressure. By midweek, the next system will start to bring rain to western parts of the region, and that will cover most of the region by late next week, although amounts will be moderate. Southern Alabama, Georgia, and Florida will receive lighter amounts. Week two looks like it is likely to be cooler and drier than normal.
