The latest 7-day QPF forecast shows that most parts of the Southeast should see only light amounts of rain this week, which should not cause significant changes in the Drought Monitor. The exceptions are southern Florida and eastern North Carolina and Virginia, which could see over an inch. The longer range forecasts show that warmer and drier than normal conditions are expected for most of the region except the Florida peninsula.
