The updated temperature outlook for May 2025 shows that everywhere in the Southeast except the southern half of the Florida Peninsula is expected to be warmer than normal, while the remainder of Florida has equal chances of above, below, or near normal temperatures. The rainfall prediction across the region shows equal chances of near, above, and below normal rainfall. Rainfall in May can be hard to predict, especially if an early season tropical storm moves through the area, although nothing is currently on the horizon through the first half of the month.
