The latest 7-day QPF map shows that this weekend looks nice and dry across most of the region. By Sunday night rain will start to enter from the west. Alabama will experience the heaviest rains Monday and Tuesday, with several inches in some areas. The week should end with mostly dry conditions across the area. Mostly dry conditions in southern Florida could contribute to an expansion of moderate drought there. Weeks 2, 3, and 4 are expected to be warmer and drier than normal according to the Climate Prediction Center at https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/.
