‘Everything is Gone’ New Jersey’s Largest Dairy Devastated by Hurricane Ida

In many hurricanes, a number of weak tornadoes form on the spiral bands ahead of the storm. It is much rarer to find really strong tornadoes associated with hurricanes. However, as the remains of Hurricane Ida moved into the Northeast and merged with a front, several strong tornadoes formed ahead of the system. One EF 4 tornado made a direct hit on the largest dairy farm in New Jersey, flattening most of the buildings other than the owners’ house.
