According to a recent article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “In the spring of 2017, a boldly subtitled book became a national bestseller. “Drawdown,” wrote the authors, was “the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming.” The book has influenced communities, curriculum and conversations about climate change.” The Ray C. Anderson Foundation was inspired by the vision of the book and launched Drawdown Georgia in October 2017. This is a statewide effort to bring a local perspective to those climate solutions and reduce Georgia’s carbon impact by one-third in 10 years. The group that worked on this project narrowed down the list of possible solutions to 20 that fit best with Georgia’s unique climate and landscape.
