The latest 7 day QPF map shows that moderate rain is expected across most of the area this coming week. The heaviest rains will be in coastal areas of North Carolina, southwest Florida, and the northern Gulf of Mexico coast. Unfortunately, areas with the highest drought levels will see the least rain. Warmer than normal temperatures are expected to continue for the next couple of weeks, which will evaporate any excess rain we get and most likely add to drought woes.
