The latest monthly outlook for April 2025 was released a few days ago. It shows that April is likely to be warmer than normal across the region as we continue to see the weak La Nina affecting our local climate. The rainfall is not showing a tendency in the central region but there is a slight lean towards drier than normal in southern Florida and wetter than normal in northern Alabama and Georgia, as we would expect in a weak La Nina. Drought conditions are expected to pretty stable with some slight increases likely in southern Florida and some improvements where the wettest conditions are expected to occur.
