The latest 7 day QPF map shows another wet week is ahead for nearly all of the region. While this weekend will be dry in the north, rain will return to the area for most days this week. The driest area will be Virginia, where drought has been expanding as most rain falls farther south along a front. Quite a few areas will get multiple inches of rain. Looking at the models, I don’t see any 24-hour period in the next week that will be free of rain, although since it will be summer convective storms, there may be some locally dry areas between heavier rain amounts.
