The latest 7-day QPF map shows that a large part of the Southeast will see only light showers this week, with the usual exception of Florida, as high pressure continues to dominate the area. Rain could occur over the Florida Peninsula over the next few days and light showers could occur in Alabama, N GA, NW SC, and western NC and VA late in the week. The long-range forecast is not showing any chance of frost in the next couple of weeks but those forecasts can change over time so if you are in northern areas, it’s time to be watching more carefully.
