The latest 7-day QPF map shows that this weekend will be dry but rain chances pick up in midweek and increase further by the end of the week. The amounts of rain we get are not expected to be large but will be welcome nonetheless. The amounts will be affected by the tropical activity that is currently developing in the western Caribbean. If it develops into a named storm and moves towards the Southeast, it will bring more rain to the region, but that is still very much up in the air, since only a few models currently put it on that path. Best we can do is watch and wait since any development will likely be slow.
