After a week that was almost completely free of abnormally dry conditions in the Southeast, the latest Drought Monitor showed an increase in abnormally dry conditions in south Georgia and northern Florida on Thursday. This is due to a region that has missed the heaviest rains in recent weeks. This area may be reduced in the next Drought Monitor due to the storms which passed through the area in the last two days.
