A slow-moving weather system should bring abundant rain to a lot of the driest part of the Southeast in the next few days. Rain is already entering Alabama this Saturday morning. The bulk of the next 7 days’ rain should fall by Monday, with only light amounts the rest of the week. By the end of the week it should be significantly colder as air from Canada and the Arctic surges south into the US.
