While this week looks mostly dry for most of the Southeast (with the exception of along the Gulf Coast and in Florida), there does appear to be a shift towards more typical November cool and wetter weather by about November 15. You always have to treat the farther-out forecasts with some skepticism, but mid-November is typically a time when we are shifting to a more winterlike pattern, so there is some hope that things will get back closer to normal conditions. Unfortunately, that might be too late for those who are trying to get small grains and winter forage planted.
