Many of the meteorologists and climatologists I know started out with a burning interest in weather, either because of a close encounter with a tornado or other storm event or because the weather and its many aspects were fascinating to them from an early age. The Gwinnett Daily Post had an article yesterday (click here to read it) about a Dacula man who has developed his interest in weather over many years. In addition to being a CoCoRaHS volunteer observer (www.cocorahs.org) he also has his own weather station, website (daculaweather.com), Facebook page (North Georgia Weather) and blog (northgeorgiaweather.weebly.com). Do you have folks in your area that are avid weather observers? If so, I would love to hear about them.
