The latest 7-day QPF map shows that the western parts of our region are likely to get rain in the next few days, particularly in the Wednesday through Friday period. Some isolated spots in Alabama could get 2-3 inches but most areas will get less than that, and as you go east the amounts that are forecast are getting lower as you go east. The Florida peninsula will largely be missed by rain early in the week, which is likely to increase the drought more there. Friday night through Sunday night are expected to be completely dry everywhere except in the Florida peninsula, where they might actually get some rain. You can see the QPF broken down into shorter time periods at https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/qpf/day1-7.shtml.
