After a week with some significant rains along the coastal plain stretching from Alabama to North Carolina (but much less elsewhere), the next week’s 7 day QPF is showing little to no rain for most of the region. A few patches of light rain are expected in a few locations but amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch. Temperatures are expected to be fairly cold next weekend, especially in the northern part of the region, but then will most likely rise later in December and last through the rest of the month. Precipitation should slowly improve after this week, although dry conditions may return along the East Coast late in the month.
