The latest monthly outlook for December 2025 was issued late last week. It shows that after an early cold start to December, temperatures are expected to warm up later in the month, so we may see a relatively warm Christmas, although it is too early to be sure. The monthly rain fall map shows the likelihood of wet conditions in parts of the region based mostly on what we know will happen early in the month. Rain may become less likely in the second half of the month, especially in southern parts of the region. The rain may improve drought conditions in most of the region, but drought is expected to increase again in parts of Florida, which will be missed by most of the rain.
