The latest 7-day QPF map shows an area of rain (and perhaps snow at some locations and elevations in northern and higher areas) that is likely to drop 1-2 inches of rain over Tennessee and adjacent areas of northern AL and GA as well as western SC and NC and north into Kentucky. There will be a little earlier rain on Tuesday morning but it won’t amount to much. The heavier rain will occur late in the weekend as people are celebrating Thanksgiving and perhaps returning from a visit to family or friends. If you have travel plans this week, make sure to keep up with the latest local forecasts where you will be traveling in case of any problems or delays.
