After yesterday’s cold front, cool and dry air has covered most of the Southeast, leading to little chance of rain for the next few days. By mid-week the next storm system will start to bring warmer and moister air back into the region, leading to an increased chance of rain in Alabama. There could also be a significant severe weather outbreak in Mississippi and the southern Plains, although I don’t think we will see too much here in the Southeast. By the end of the week the storm system will progress into our region, leading to an increase in showers late in the week.
