It’s spring, so many storms that move through bring the chance of severe weather to the region. This week is no exception. After a nice dry weekend (although it will be windy in some areas), the next storm system should begin to move into the region early on Tuesday. Warm moist air ahead of the low will increase the chances for severe weather, and then more rain will fall as the system moves through. By next weekend it should be moving out of the area from west to east. Most of this will bypass the southern tip of Florida, but the rest of the region should see some rain, with Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, and southwestern Georgia getting the most, and eastern North Carolina and Virginia receiving the least.
