This is the time of year that winter outlooks are published by many different climatologists, meteorologists, and others (we are not even going to talk about the Farmers’ Almanacs, which are not scientific forecasts). One of the meteorologists I like to follow is Kirk Mellish of WSB in Atlanta. I have found he takes the time to dissect several different weather patterns to see how they might interact in producing the climate for this upcoming winter. He posted his detailed outlook today, and you can find it here. Not much different than the Climate Prediction Center forecast but with a little more nuance. If you have others you like to follow, send me an email and I will take a look.
