For those areas of the Southeast that have been inundated with rain the past few weeks, this week will be a welcome relief. Only light amounts of rain are expected for most parts of the region. Only the far western parts will see significant rain. However, the dry week is not good news for Florida farmers, who are already experiencing abnormally dry conditions, and that could make things worse in next week’s Drought Monitor.
