If you’ve noticed that temperatures this February are unusually warm, you’re not alone.  Many parts of the US are well above normal in temperature, with many stations this week setting new daily record high temperatures.  Some areas are 20 or more degrees above normal for this time of year, and an unofficial station in Texas reported 107 F today, which would be an all-time record for the US for February if verified.  The result of all this warmth: a record-setting number of records for maximum temperature.
