The latest 7-day QPF map shows that a upper level low passing through the region this weekend may generate all the rain we are likely to get for the next seven days. As I write this on Saturday night, an area of light showers is passing through western Alabama and may bring some light rain to Georgia and points to the east on Sunday afternoon and into Monday. However, amounts will be light and many areas of the region may get no rain at all. NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center indicates that drier than normal conditions are likely to continue in weeks 2, 3, and 4.
