Although we are currently in a quiet period as far as severe weather goes, the chance that a weather disaster will occur in the future are very high. The New York Times produced a quiz that tests your ability to make the best decisions to keep yourself and your family safe. Take it and see how you do. Then you can use the UGA list of three must-have emergency kits to pack before you have to evacuate for a hurricane or flood to help your family get ready for that future disaster. You are much more likely to stay safe and to recover quickly from a disastrous event if you have prepared ahead of time.
