The latest 7 day QPF map shows that the southern half of the region is not expected to get any rain in the next week. Northern portions will be dry this weekend but might pick up some showers midweek or later as a storm moves through the Ohio River Valley, bringing rain to that region. Since we will be on the warm side of the front, temperatures are expected to be warmer than normal for at least the next few days before another colder spell occurs (but probably not like the ones in January). Week 2 looks like it will continue to be warmer than normal with a slight chance of wetter than normal conditions everywhere except the Florida Peninsula, which should be drier than normal. This pattern will generally continue through the end of the month.
