Today is the official end of the 2024 Atlantic tropical season. It is quiet right now and there is no sign of any late development, so most likely we have reached the last named storm of the year. But keep watching just in case. Brian McNoldy,
Senior Research Associate at University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, has written a summary of the season that you might find interesting. He has been writing a blog on the tropics for the last 29 years so you can imagine how much expertise he has on this topic. I recommend following him on social media or his blow in the coming 2025 season if you live in an area affected by tropical weather. You can find his summer here.
