If you have lived in several parts of the country, it might not surprise you to know that weather forecast accuracy is not the same everywhere. This is because some places like South Florida see the same weather almost every day of the year, where the Northeast gets frequent cold and warm fronts and also experiences changing weather due to the proximity of the ocean. The Washington Post published an article today describing how many days out a temperature forecast is generally accurate. You can get more information here. The story has a link to look up your own city to see how it compares to other areas.
