The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the rain in the region this week will be near the Gulf or East Coast (including all of Florida). There will be a dry spell in the middle of the week before the next storm approaches. There is a chance of frost or freezing weather on the morning of the 19th and possibly the 20th in northern parts of AL and GA as well as a lot of western NC, VA, and SC. Virginia is still in the region where frost is likely since they are farther north than the rest of the Southeast. There are more chances of frost through the end of the month in the Southern Appalachians but most of the rest of the region should stay frost-free.
