The latest 7-day outlook for the Atlantic shows a lot of activity, including the remains of Idalia, Franklin, Jose, and another area that has a 90 percent chance of becoming a named storm (Katia) in the next week. There is also another area that has a 30% chance of development in the next week that could head towards the Southeast over time, but we have more than a week of quiet weather before that becomes a possibility. That will give those affected by Idalia earlier this week a chance to evaluate the damage and start recovery and repair.
