As I write this, the Braves are in the process of winning another game with multiple home runs and thunder is rumbling outside my window in Athens GA. Just another summer day in Georgia in 2023! Our fireworks display last night was delayed by severe weather, but they did eventually get it in about half an hour late. Tomorrow is our country’s celebration of the 4th of July, and I hope you get the chance to celebrate our American independence with family and friends. Some of you may still be catching up on field work too, after the rain earlier this month, but the heat and more scattered storms has given most folks a respite from bad working conditions.
